Announcements:  The attendance today was a bit on the light side, I hope the missing ones are not suffering from a bad New Year’s Eve party.

Bob Stein visited with Norm Schillo this morning and reports Norm is doing as well and is still waiting for a room in the minimal care area.   Norm wanted to thank all the guys that have come to visit him and says you all are always welcome.

Bronco’s winners last week:  Grimm, Alice, Benton & Randy Smith

This week’s game:   Oh, there is no game, seems the team lost too many games.  Start saving your money, the Super Bowl buy-in will be $5 per square.

It was decided at the Board Meeting that we should have a SOD on the second meeting of each month .    Well, Bob Buckland became our FIRST SOD of 2019 and did an excellent job and went to 1:30pm before we got the hook out.  Well done Bob.  That will put the pressure on Rick Campbell to try to match or excel when he is SOD Feb. 14th.

Use this service to send large files:   You can send large files and you don’t have to sign up for anything but for the free service, your only limited in how many times a day you can use the service.

The Foundation still has a Cemetery plot & Burial Vault at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Centennial.  Contact Carl or Tim if interested.  When I get the link for Craig’s list I will send it out.

Put your thinking caps on and come up with ideas for programs.  Our Directors are running out of ideas.  Also, how about some club events?

Doug Harder is our new Membership Director and handed out a sheet with places to enter names or places to find potential new members.  Everyone is expected to participate.

Our New Web link…  built with the help of Karie Farr, whose business is .  The old web address will not exist shortly so bookmark the new one.

Sertoman of the Day:   The theme of Bob’s talk today is “What-If”, what if one thing in his life had been just a little different.  Bob “Bucky” Buckland: Born June of 1932 in Hartford, CT Hospital, 1-1/2 miles from the CT River. He was the 5th of 6 kids. Bob graduated from Hall High in W. Hartford and the school is still standing. He attended undergraduate school at the Univ. of CT 1950-1956 interrupted by 2 years in the U.S. Navy as a Radioman (51-53)  He said he could copy Morse code at about 85 wpm.  Bob mentioned a time he was stationed in Alaska and on a simulated invasion drill, WE LOST. Thanks Bob.

Bob was a Group Rep for Prudential Insurance Co. 1956-1958. On 11/30/57 Bob married Betty and they have three children, Mac, Toddie & Freddie, all of them married now. Bob and Betty have 7 grandchildren and 8 GG-grandkids. Betty was a nurse.  Recently, Bob reached his 86th birthday and is the only living child of his late parents, he has survived Prostate Cancer and celebrated the birth of another great grandson.

Bob left Prudential and went to the Univ. of Conn. School of Law 1958-61 and was admitted to the Conn. Bar July 1961. He was an Atty. for Conn. Mutual Live from 1961 to 1964. Bob and Betty then moved to Denver in 1964 to go into sale for Conn. Mutual. He is still associated with its successor, Mass. Mutual but is “partly retired” now.

Dick Sorensen brought Bob into the Lodo Club but since they didn’t have many members in the club, Bob liked the size of the Arapahoe Club and moved over to it.
